The Disneyland Monorail was the very first monorail in the Western Hemisphere to make daily round trips. The monorail makes only two stops. A stop in Tomorrowland and a stop just outside the Disneyland Hotel in Down Town Disney next to the Rain Forest Cafe. Guests going from Downtown Disney to Tomorrowland must present a valid Disneyland Park ticket before they are allowed to enter the monorail. The monorails are also recently being redone to combine futuristic looks with the original monorail design. Soon the monorail will be changing its name to the Disneyland Resort Line as soon as all the new monorails are finished being built and placed on the track.
The monorail never has an extreamly long line. The capacity of the monorails is large and every guest must disembark at there arriving station. The trip is also very smooth and enjoyable and it creates a great way for hotel guests to get into the park. But that is not all that the attraction will give you especially on those extreamly crowded days. On days were Disneyland Parks line to even get into the park stretches to the monorail track bases it can take twenty minuets or more to even enter the park, so what we recommend is this in this type of a situation. For the guests leaving the tram from the Lion King Tram, got strait past the park entrance lines and head into Downtown Disney in the direction of the Disneyland Hotel. If you are getting off from the Mickey and Friends Tram take a right into Downtown Disney and head toward the Disneyland Hotel. Get on-board the monorail at the monorail station next to the Disneyland Hotel and take the monorail into Tomorrowland. This will save you a tons of time and the monorail will drop you in the middle of some of Disneyland's more popular rides and attractions helping you to by-pass large crowds. This is even more so for those of you how will enter the park at opening because the monorail will drop you off before most of the guests will even get to the rides making you one of the first in line.
